    It's an ok location. Gets crowded and some homeless take up spots. The other day they messed up my order and there was hesitation from staff when I mentioned it so I took the drink instead of insisting that they correct the order. The drink was good though even though it wasn't what I ordered. The should add some outdoor tables since it's crowded.

    ---Updated review June 2019. Crew is different and service is much better. Perfectly made hot mocha this morning and yesterday the service was very good also.

    Great service! I had a great latte nice and frothy not too strong. Just perfect.
    We came to kill some time before heading to project purr to donate some bikes.
    There were quite a few people having a cup of coffee and talking using their laptops.

    Came in on a Sunday afternoon for a nice chai latte with an espresso shot and a latte for my friend. This is probably the only Peets I ever sit and hang out at, there's not a whole lot of seating but this one feels more comfortable to me and somehow I always end up taking a seat and talking with a friend without meaning to. We accidently got too excited in our conversation and spilt a drink so we asked for a rag but a girl at the counter was nice enough to come by and insisted on cleaning it as they made a new drink. Thank you!!! She was really nice and although this is a rooky mistake on our part they were very nice about it!

    Came in this morning for a Havana coffee. I was able to grab a seat while I waited and the drink was delivered to me within minutes. Very fast, kind service. This location is rather small so it may be crowded at other hours of the day but when I was there everything was great!

    Peets is my first love when it comes to coffee.
    I worked at several San Diego locations over the past 6 years.
    Naturally, when we got to Santa Cruz my first stop had to be peets, and I am so saddened to say that my experience was pretty crummy!
    I ordered a traditional cappuccino.
    The service was sub par, and the space was a mess from being so busy.
    I waited about 12 minutes for my Capp, and when my name was finally called out, I did a DOUBLE TAKE at my drink.
    Was this boiled milk mess, mine?!
    No. Please no.
    It was- and I was so sad, I couldn't even take a photo to post here. I took a sip of the watery shots in scalding milk, and ran away. :(
    Sorry Peet's, off to Verve Coffee Roasters to redeem the day!
